Day 42 - Fun With Phones
The theme of today was the phone. We changed the ring tone on her office phone so it went from a normal rining kind of trill to an odd beep. We also stashed the Eviltron that Hua-yu recently tortured all of us with in the base of her phone, but taped inside so it did not rattle or move.
Day 41 - Shelf Swap
Yesterday's Fun with Hua-Yu consisted of swapping the contents of a couple shelves in her office.
Before:
I left the top shelf alone and then switched the contents of the second and third shelves as well as the fourth and fifth shelves.
She didn't notice, so today I stepped it up a notch and went in and switched the food that was on the left side of the top shelf with the sign that was on the right. Then she noticed....

Day 39 - Door Pouncing
A simple, but satisfying one. It started with her door barely open and choosing to pounce into it, Tigger style, to open it rapidly rather than gradually. Produced quite a good startle. Then repeated a couple times of opening all the way from closed.
Surprisingly satisfying.

Day 38 - Lockdown
Today's earned the first profanity out of Hua-yu to date. I will skip repeating it, but she completed the phrase "you little" with a word that has been coupled with dirty before.
There are four drawers on Hua'yu's main desk, with a lock on each side to lock them. The keys were hanging from one of them. An obvious invitation to lock them.
And then of course take the key. Twoie says that vengeance is sweet:
I did tell her where they were when she texted me with that phrase followed by "where are my keys," so we have further proof that I'm a nice person.
I'm going to be out tomorrow, so I'm glad that HEN 1, 3 & 4 united for a little extra for Hua-yu today at lunch. Hua-yu had started to get her food setup when she ran back to her office, leaving her food and her phone out. So, they took the phone and took a picture of HEN 1 doing this:
Hua-yu was not told until AFTER she had finished. And yes, the picture was on HER phone.

Day 37 - Hand Sanitizer Drop
While I was out of town for a conference, I was still thinking of Hua-yu and so I picked up these hand sanitizers from a vendor and dropped them off in her office for Wednesday's fun:
Then for a little bonus, I paid Hua-yu for getting me lunch a bit creatively:
I left these in her chair. They're supposed to be a spider, a picture frame, a basket, a guitar and music notes.

Day 36 - Buggy Office
I was out of the office at the beginning of the week, so I didn't anticipate any Fun with Hua-yu, but the Helper Elves took it on themselves to do Monday and create a buggy office:

Day 35 - Fish Executioner Fax Friday
Hua-yu was notified she had a fax in front and came up to receive the following:
The one on the left is covered with a sheet with a toe tag. I'm not visually very creative...

Day 34 - Picture on Desk
This is another one that seemed like it wouldn't be much and then was a big hit. HEN 1 was reading people and came across the following as the first page:
So, she had me go put it on Hua-yu's office to be seen first thing.
I found the other side amusing as well:

Day 32 - Working in Hua-yu's Office
This was the sight that greated Hua-yu when she got in this morning.
I was working at her computer while chatting with Helper Elf Number Three like it was my office.
Got a great big laugh out of Hua-yu.
Speaking of Hua-yu's laugh, I forgot to upload some pictures from a bonus last week. HEN 1 mentioned that she really wished I'd videoed Hua-yu when I greeted her from under her desk, and so we decided to go hide in her office to give her the experience. I hid flush with the wall next to a bookcase so I couldn't be seen from the door and HEN 1 hid behind the door. Then we greeted Hua-yu when she came in along with HEN 2.
I still didn't think to video or record it for some reason, but I did get a number of pictures of her response during her recovery:

Day 31 - Things Gradually Disappear
Hua-yu is known for not noticing things, but she surprised us with this one! Today's thing was a gradual removal of objects from her office. I started it off with the removal of her tape dispenser (green man shaped guy in some of the pictures) and then sent out an email to a half-dozen interested parties encouraging them to grab any non-critical items from her office.
The second thing removed was a camel figurine that Hua-yu has on her desk and she somehow immediately noticed this!
Despite the gig technically being up so early, we opted to persevere and continue to remove items. One enterprising soul took her hand sanitizer though and this led to Hua-yu going on a hunt throughout the office to find it. Hand sanitizer apparently crosses a line! She came to my office asking about the hand sanitizer, and while I didn't have it, I did give her the tape dispenser that she didn't know was missing.
When Hua-yu went to lunch, some enterprising souls took the time to attach three of her items to rubber bands and hang them from the ceiling and back of her office door. And they even took pictures and sent them to me! However, my phone is refusing to send them by email or upload them to the picasa dropbox no matter what I try.
(I had to do it by email because the USB ports on my computer weren't working, but I just had the brilliant idea to try the ones on the back, so here are the pictures I was sent:)
